The AMTA-CA Board of Directors, Appointees & Staff enthusiastically invite you to attend this year’s California Massage and Bodywork Convention where our theme this year is “Unity in Motion” the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California.Our goal is to not only offer you the best convention possible, but to offer as many Continuing Education Units (CEUs) choices possible. We always try to stay current with the times and offer you new and possibly unique modalities. This year is no exception. Last year our attendees requested that we offer some type of marketing/business skills class and we listened. Kerry O’Brien will be presenting “Massage as a Business,” to help those of us whose business skills might need a bit of hand-holding. We will also offer classes on Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Pranic Healing and a 6 hour Anatomy class taught by the always popular Cynthia Ribiero. Don’t forget those pesky Ethics CEUs that are mandatory for completing your AMTA and NCTMB requirements. The work you’ll be learning will introduce you to many new possibilities for your practice and yourself including body mechanics and ethics. Take advantage of trying outing new things and seeing which modality resonates with your core. Don’t forget there is also the AMTA-CA Annual Business Meetings. Come and see how your AMTA Chapter has faired over the past year and help elect those that will guide it for the future. The energy and feeling of family that permeates this convention is hard to describe. You have to experience it to understand. We believe that time together during convention is more than just an educational event. There is no comparison to the feeling of excitement and the abundance of encouragement, support and love. We hope that you will take advantage of the numerous opportunities to participate with us, meet new people and reconnect with old friends. If you’ve never been to convention before, join us and find out for yourself! If you’ve joined us in the past, we look forward to seeing you again this year in Ontario.
